Q: How do you feel about the demise of Oba Adetunji?
A: The truth of the matter is that everybody on earth will die one day. One prayer we need to offer is that we should live with good health and sound mind on earth.
Late Oba Adetunji is a man of the people and he tried his best to add value to humanity; you will observe that his reign witnessed maximum peace as he was able to put Ibadan on the right track.
Late Oba Adetunji embraced the people; he does not discriminate, be it old, young, female or male. He enhances peace and unity in his domain; resolving issues that may lead to crisis. We have been able to learn some lessons from his lifestyle that we should be peaceful, accommodating and always tolerate one another. May the Lord grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Q: What are the lessons to be learnt as regards the demise of Oba Adetunji?
A: We thank God for his life; although we want him to celebrate 100, 120 but God knows the best. Beyond that, he has been able to add value to his domain by introducing innovations that have repositioned the people for better life.
Ibadan witnessed peace and development during his reign; more importantly in the area of infrastructural growth. The stool of the Olubadan was also elevated during his reign.
During his reign, all the Mogaji in Ibadan were positioned under one umbrella for unity of purpose and he also abolished land grabbers in Ibadan. Other innovations witnessed during his reign include; the construction of a new palace for the Olubadan while all associations in Ibadan were positioned under one umbrella.
It his our prayer that his successors in office will be able to build on his positive legacies and further position Ibadan for future development.

Q: What can you say about the late Oba Adetunji?
A: Late Oba Adetunji is a focused man; a man with a vision and mission, he has been able to maintain and sustain the tradition of the people.
Ibadan is the only city in Nigeria where we don't fight on issues regarding royalty, we have laid down procedures that is being followed for decades.
May his soul continue to rest in peace.
